Director of Performance and Evaluation
Kirsten has over ten years of experience in education research, policy analysis, data analysis, and evaluation. She has long been interested in issues of educational equity and working to alleviate the considerable disparities in educational quality, as is especially evident for minority and urban students. Prior to joining Urban Teacher Center, Kirsten worked for the Baltimore City Public School System as Special Assistant to the Chief Achievement and Accountability officer and coordinated activities within the research, assessment, and accountability departments as well as between other departments and agencies. Kirsten has an M.A. in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University.
